One way packaging is almost always made of plastic, very often polystyrene, and is also the basis for microplastics, which massively damage our environment. Company Myco from the Czech Republic has developed an environmentally friendly alternative. Myco uses natural materials, consisting of mushroom mycelium and waste from agriculture and wood processing. The production material of mushroom mycelium naturally degrades after use under the influence of wetness and thus no pollutants remain in nature. The material used is also a very good dung. Due to the similar structure, formation options and the same elasticity and strength as foamed polystyrene, the latter can be optimally replaced by Myco. Boxes can also be made out of it.
