Clean drinking water is one of the most important basics for a healthy life. Unfortunately, for many people this is not the case. To change this, Yakupura has developed a simple system for existing water pipes. An activated carbon water filter that is attached directly to the tap provides clean drinking water without an expensive and complicated filter system. The filtering power results from the activated carbon, which is made from organic coconut shells. Heavy metals, pesticides and organic substances are filtered out. Around 8,000 families in Ecuador have already been supplied with clean drinking water by the Yakupura water filter.
