Mekong Plus works in 67 schools with more than 25,000 students in the province of Hau Giang in Vietnam with the aim of creating awareness of plastic waste and thus reducing the use of single-use plastic items. The children collect the garbage and private companies buy it to recycle it. This gives the students the right thinking of garbage at school. The poorest receive paid scholarships from the income they receive. In addition, recycled panels are also bought, which are then used to build cheap houses. This is how circular economy is lived, health and learning are promoted.
