More and more often we hear about coral reefs that are dying and leading to an ecological meltdown. IntelliReefs is working in exactly this direction and is revitalizing such reefs. In 2018, IntelliReefs deployed its revolutionary artificial reefs, based on oceanite nanotechnology, on reefs in Sint Maarten that were badly hit by Hurricane Irma. Already in January 2020, it could be determined after only 14 months that the biodiversity has increased again strongly. The coral colonization has improved a lot. A healthy coral community that feeds large fish communities has been established.
