CarbFix - Capturing CO2 emissions and turning it to stone underground

Country:

Iceland

The reduction of CO2 is the most pressing global goal today to limit climate change. In this area, Carbfix is breaking new ground. CO2 is captured and converted to stone underground in less than 2 years using proprietary technology. This technology is based on natural processes and brings a permanent and safe carbon storage solution. This carbon capture and mineralization technique has already reduced emissions in Iceland by 70,000 tons of CO2. In total, the global storage capacity in basaltic stone is greater than the emissions from burning all fossil fuels.
